9. Children's Privacy & COPPA
Our public-facing website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site.
ShepherdOS in Schools
Our ShepherdOS product is deployed in K–8 Christian school environments and may be used by students under 13. ShepherdOS is designed to be compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
When a school deploys ShepherdOS:
- The school acts as the verified educational authority providing parental consent on behalf of enrolled students, consistent with the COPPA "school authorization" model
- We collect only information necessary to operate the educational service
- We do not use student data for marketing, advertising, behavioral profiling, or any commercial purpose
- Student information is used solely to provide the educational service to the school
- Parents of enrolled students may request review or deletion of their child's information through the school
Schools using ShepherdOS receive a separate Data Processing Agreement and additional product-specific privacy documentation.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 outside of a school-authorized context, we will delete it promptly.
10. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit
- Access controls and authentication for systems containing personal data
- Vendor security review for third-party services that handle personal data

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
